Operating Procedures for Bluetooth®(wb)

The following explains the process for “Device Registration - Graph Display - Device Settings - Saving Data”.

Device Registration

  1. On the top screen, tap to open the Add Devise screen.

  2. The serial number and registration code are required to register the device. By selecting the desired device in the list of Nearby Bluetooth Devices, its serial number will be entered automatically. (The Bluetooth Connection enable switch is also automatically displayed.) Enter the registration code manually, then tap [Apply].

  3. Tap to return to the top screen. Check to see that the selected device now appears in the list of registered devices.

 Note
  • The serial number can be entered manually as well.
  • By turning on the T&D WebStorage Service in the Target Entity field, the registered device will be added to your WebStorage account.
  • If you have not set up your account to be used with this App (in App Settings > Account Management), the account settings page will open. Enter the user ID and password for the account you wish to add devices to and click [Apply].

Graph Display, Device Settings, Saving Data

  1. On the top screen, select the device to open the Device Info screen.

  2. Tap on in the task bar to start communication with the device. The device settings screen will open and display downloaded data in graph.

  3. Perform the desired operation: graph operations, device settings, saving data

    • In Device Settings you can check the device info, change the recording settings, start/stop recording, etc. (Details about device settings can be found under Help - [Graph and Settings Menu] - [Device Settings].)
    • Tap this to save recorded data to your smartphone or tablet.
    • Tap here to select the period of data you wish to view in the display.
    • Tap here to return to the previous screen.

Accessing Cloud Storage (wb/nw/wf)

In this section we will explain how to use T&D Thermo to access cloud storage and view data in graph form. Before proceeding, confirm that all Auto-upload Settings and settings to allow for the viewing of data on T&D WebStorage Service have been completed. (For details see: [Automatic Data Upload to the Cloud] in the Introductory Manual that came with the data logger.

  1. Tap in the upper left corner of the List Display, and select [ App Settings] from the displayed menu.

  2. Tap [Account Management] and select the account you wish to use with this app.

    • If it is the first time, enter your User ID and Password for T&D WebStorage Service and tap [Apply].

  3. Data that has already been automatically uploaded to T&D WebStorage Service will appear in the List Display.

    • If data is not displayed in the List, see the Introductory Manual and check about Auto-upload Settings and Device Registration.
    • A device with a cloud icon means it is accessible via T&D WebStorage Service.

  4. Tapping on a device in the list opens the info screen for the selected device.

  5. Tap on in the task bar to start communication with T&D WebStorage Service and open the Graph and Settings Menu Display.

  6. Perform the desired operation: graph operations, device settings, saving data.

    • When making settings changes via the cloud there are some settings, such as Network Settings, which cannot be changed. (Details about the Settings Menu can be found under Help - [Graph and Settings Menu] - [Device Settings].)
    • Tap this to save recorded data to your smartphone or tablet.
    • Tap here to select the period of data you wish to view in the display.
    • Tap here to return to the previous screen.

Operating Procedures for WLAN Direct Communication (wf/wb)

The following explains the process for “Starting Recording - Downloading Recorded Data - Saving Data”.

 IMPORTANT
  • Each time you use this communication method, it is necessary to press buttons on the logger to activate Mode.
  • Operations differ for iOS and Android operating systems.
  1. To activate, press and hold down the <DISPLAY> and <INTERVAL> buttons until turns on without blinking.

    (AP Mode) will stay on for about two minutes.
  2. Tap in the upper left corner of the List Display, and select [WLAN Direct Comm.] from the displayed menu.

  3. <iOS>
    1. In the Home screen open [ Settings]-[Wi-Fi] and select the target logger (Model_Serial number).
      (Tapping the [] button will also take you to the Settings screen.)

    3. Returning to T&D Thermo will start communication with the data logger and open the graph and settings screen.

    <Android OS>
    1. The loggers in Mode will appear in the list.

    3. Tap the target logger (Model_Serial number) to start communication and open the graph and settings screen.

  4. Perform the desired operation.

    • In the Settings Menu, tap on [Rec Settings] to start and stop recording. (Details about the Settings Menu can be found under Help - [Graph and Settings Menu] - [Device Settings].)
    • Tap this to save recorded data to your smartphone or tablet.
    • Tap here to select the period of data you wish to view in the display.
    • Tap here to return to the previous screen.
